For as long as I can remember, florals and gardening have been apart of my life. From as early as the age of seven, I can vividly remember walking around the family greenhouses asking what each flower was. What started as a game to me, quickly turned into the discovery of my life's passion.
In all, I spent fifteen years apprenticing with my mother were I landscaped, designed, and helped to maintain the daily operational tasks of the family business. I then attended Culver Stockton College, and after four years received my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.
PASSION MEETS OPPORTUNITY
After graduation, I moved to St. Louis and began work at Baisch & Skinner Wholesale Florist, where I was the fresh-cut flower buyer and purchasing manager for nine years. During my time there, I had the great opportunity to tour some of the largest and best-cut flower farms in the world while studying and learning many of the cut-flowers growing processes. Ultimately, allowing me to appreciate the FULL floral process. From the cut in the field to the bride's bouquet on her wedding day.
In 2017, I was given the opportunity to purchase Poppies Design Studio. Poppies currently designs an estimated 100 weddings per year, as well as collaborating with many corporate clients for events in the St. Louis area.
